Like Cisco's You're So Vain and Conrad's Burning Down the House, I have life long memories, skiing or otherwise, that are tied to specific songs. Possibly hundreds of them if I start reminiscing with my wife. I remember titles/artists/dates, she remembers obscure lyrics! It's incredible how the memories are triggered every time I hear the song again.
More ski-related song/memories:
Snowshoe, WV 1983. Wife and I danced in a club there one night on a ski trip. My favorite song that night was Rock the Casbah by The Clash.
Around same time, early 1980s, my parents owned a vacation home near Blue Knob, PA. They kept their 1950s Grundig HiFi system and old records in that house. It was a thing of beauty and looked very much like this (my brother still has it):

One night my wife and I and another couple danced to a 1957 album in that house by Lester Lanin and his big band, favorite song was Night and Day, a Cole Porter composition.
I've taken many long ski roadtrips over the years, music gets played on the long drives. On the way from VA to Aspen in 1992 with a couple buddies we listened to a tape player one of them had and favorite song repeated on tape was The Way It Is by Bruce Hornsby and The Range.
In 2000 I drove with a friend from VA to VT and NY to ski for a week. One day while driving access road to Whiteface the song I Believe by Cher came on the radio. I can never forget the view of that mtn coming into sight while listening to that song.
January 2007, Bryce Resort, VA: at noon I found myself alone on a chair as the bells from the slopeside Our Lady of the Shenandoah church chimed a nice rendition of the 19th century folk song Shenandoah. My late Mom loved that kind of music and took me skiing several times at Bryce when I was a boy. That ski day in 2007 happened to be her first birthday since she had died the year before. It wasn’t the heavily falling snow that gave me chills and watered my eyes on that chairlift ride.

In April 2009 I took a roadtrip with my son from VA to CO for a week of powder skiing in 3 feet new snow. We survived it with a 1997 Nissan Maxima with regular tires:-(
We played a DVD with Tom Petty's greatest hits a lot on that drive. Favorite song was Running Down a Dream. Good road song!
