Indonesian cable car

Hope this makes a good thread while we are still officially in summer. I was in Indonesia recently and visited a human-powered cable car that brings visitors to an ocean island. Here is the Remontees-Mecaniques report!

Ok but there's a bridge next to it, so why use the gondola..besides the fact it's cool

The gondola is much more thrilling. It cruises down the first 2/3rds at a good clip, before the attendants have to yank it the rest of the way. Therefore it commands exactly twice the ticket price of the bridge ($14.43 to ride the gondola, very expensive for Indonesia).
