Nice JD. I know I’ve been by it a few times, without paying much attention to it. I might have even slept in their parking lot once.

Weird, my Google street map view freaks out when you approach from either direction. It goes blank right in front of it.

Interestingly if you are just on the north side of it and head west off the road into a parking lot towards Mansfield, all of a sudden it becomes winter. Heading back slightly to Rt 108 yields a winter view of Barnes Camp and the winter end of Rt 108.

Okay, I now see this must be perhaps a snow sled route or part of the Stowe ski trail street views on Google maps.

https://www.google.com/maps/@44.533368,-72.787365,3a,75y,121.43h,72.98t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1so-uLx4X2JwVWq5TifpEYAg!2e0!3e5!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1?hl=en

If you go towards the Camp on 108 you will be back in summer. Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to go so quickly from winter to summer and back again?

If you instead head across 108, you will be in “winter mode” & you can come right up to the backside of the camp where you can read the visitor center signs.
