This is really stupid... but I have to ask. I never went on one of those "alpine slides" like they have at Bromley and Stowe. Anyone ever try one? Are they any good?
Here's another one, I'm on a roll today! Do you take a lift up to the top of a mountain to get on a mountain coaster, or do you board the train at the base area, ride up, and then go down?

The mountain coaster looks like fun.
I have been on the attitash one, it is pretty fun. Not something I would do all day but once or twice is fun
Yeah, alpine slides are big fun. Once or twice is indeed good for me also. Rode the Jiminy Peak one a couple weeks ago so got a good look at the coaster being built. Looks like you ride the train up, which is only one car at a time so not really a train so to speak. Apparently you also get to control your speed going down, guess it's similar to an alpine slide in the aspect. Anyway, I'll be sure to give it a try one of these days, drive right by Jiminy all the time so why not.
So is the alpine coaster something you control or is it kind of like a roller coaster? It looks incredibly fun however. Nice picture of The Grand Slam chair in one of those pics.
