the weather here in Jersey is absolutely dreadful, almost 60º and brilliant sunshine. So I went on Google Earth, found one of the ski areas mentioned in the thread about different areas with the same name, then hit it with Walter Schoenknecht's atom bomb. I kept all their trails, put in my own lifts. What ski area is this?

I'm not sure where the MTN is, but it got me thinking. Google Earth could provide some kick-ass trail maps for ski areas! Nicely done.

Unfortunately most of Ski Country in the East is low-resolution at Google Earth. Terraserver has better resolution. Massachusetts is the exception.

Actually, I think some smallert mountains might use aerial view of the mountain for their trail map.

Rick, when you said "summer in January" I thought we were going to have to search the whole Southern Hemisphere.

ahh, I see how that could be misleading. But this January might be as warm here as many parts of the southern hemisphere!
