Does anyone know when whaleback will open?
They are not listed on snowcountry.com yet I hope they are smart enough to register there.

Check back with their web site (http://www.whaleback.com). As I am sure you will read the latest updates there first.

I know from my experience SnoCountry and SkiCentral don't always have correct and accurate information. Especially for the small areas.
