So anyone have guesses as to how killington and other American Ski Compnay resorts will do this season? Anyone think ACS will climb from .30 up to 70 something cents like last winter? Anyone ski Killington yet, how was it? I know I can't wait to hit the slopes soon. I probably will only ski at Killington once as its way to crowded for me and not as good experience as the locally owned mountains.
I heard that ASC made money last year which astonished me.... With thier debts and bad reputation, its truly amazing.... As long as theyre selling real estate, ASC will continue to make money.
Their fortunes at the ticket window will rise or fall with the weather just like any other resort. A good economy and reasonable gas prices (so far) are good omens too.
their statement from last quarter was humerous to say the least. i think they really need to dish another mountain and recover some debt before they can start thinking about actually making much money. i think they are grabbing for whatever they can right now and don't have a very good long term model that promotes stability or long term growth. they are just looking to stay alive.
