Would you rather support a Vermont food bank or your local ski area?

Helping out a good cause had it's price. At 8am upon handing in your canned goods it then took 30+ minutes for you to purchase your lift ticket. Four windows open, 25 people deep. Should have had a cash only window to help. A really screwed up system. Then, the line at the quad OMG. Cheap skiing does have a price.

Stowe was great today! I got there around 12:30 and there were a lot of trails open around the forerunner quad area. some trails were a bit icy at times but the fresh snow helped a lot. I didn't have any problem with ticket or lift lines.

what lift at the quad were you in? i didn't wait more than five minutes per lift i don't think. more than i am used to, but considering the were busing people in from spruce car lots and the gondi wasn't running, i was okay with a five minute wait.

the lift ticket fiasco did really suck major. the delays only happened with folks using credit cards, my $15 cash transaction was quick. they REALLY should have had a cash only line. i suspect something was wrong with their POS system because they were hand entering information for credit card transactions. only 3/4 windows were open when i got there, about a ~20 minute line around 8:30. $15 ticket and the skiing was SENSTIONAL, how can you complain? what a day! i am beat.

The real question is, do you want to support CHAD or your favorite ski area? Which is more important to you?

Anyway, I talked to a buddy who was there and he said it was nuts. They were parking people in the notch. He left after five runs. (Then again, he can just go back when it's less crowded because he always buys a season's pass.
