I like the double, it is good to see the betwixed chair have a new life. The cost difference between a new quad and a used double is enormous. I understand that the two borvig chairs in the lot were picked up for around $15,000. Mabey Boybud can shed some light on the cost of a new FGQ, as I know he is installing one this summer of about the same length.
Actually, Marcski, I think everyone is being well behaved.
There are certainly differences of opinion (minor understatement), but I think nearly everyone appreciates the potential that Magic's terrain offers. Most of us don't really care about lodge amenities, but many realize that many things we're not concerned by are important elements to an areas commercial sucess.
I could care less about beginner terrain, lessons, rentals, cafeteria, retail shops. These, however, are segments where areas make big margin. Ski areas don't make money off of skiers like you and me that go to ski. The make money off of people that use multiple services at the ski area. A beginner, or better yet, a family with beginners is the best: Rentals, lessons, lift tickets, hot chocolate, $24 pizza's (just kidding Chris), tubing tickets.
PS: Think of what the ride would be like if the Blue chair was a poma!
The only way areas will get more money out of me is iff the put in more Poma's with eclaire stands at the loading area
