OK folks, it's almost summer and we are going to have to deal with it. With that in mind, who can identify the location where this summer photo was taken. Hint: It is a Massachusetts State Park.

Sandy Point is a good guess, but wrong part of the state. To make this contest remotely connected to skiing, I will throw in a free Saturday lift ticket at Ski Bradford for the winner.

Not really, but this is a flat water area.

Don't know if it's a state park or not, but it kinda looks like Crane's Beach/Castle Hill/Essex River area....
or..Salisbury?

It does look like the Crane area but it is farther to the south. Remember it is a Mass State Park.

Plum Island
BTW, last year my family went to Crane Brach for the fireworks and we were driven to our vehicles by the worst biting gnats I have ever experienced. We were wearing DEET bug stuff.

The worst bugs on the North Shore are the never-popular "Green Heads"

I'll post the answer this evening. There has been a lot of good clues. Look farther to the south.

Is it a park near Dartmouth and Bedford? That area is beautiful in the summer.

Yes! Demarest Lloyd State Park in South Dartmouth. This is probably the best kept (until now) secret in Mass State Parks. I discovered this place when I was a student at SMU (now UMass-Dartmouth). This park has a beautiful long beach on the Slocum River estuary. The water is very shallow (and warm) and there are numerous tide pools trapped when the tide goes out. This is a great place for kids as the water does not get deep until you go way out. However it does drop off sharply near the channel. The picture was taken near the north end of the beach near Deepwater Point. The best time is during the week on an outgoing tide. You may have the whole place to yourself. Dangelone, PM me next winter for the free lift ticket at Ski Bradford.

Thanks. You gave enough clues. It really is a great spot and looks like a nice place to live smacked between Boston and Providence. Some had weird old school New England accents. Too bad it's Red Sox country. I'm a proud Mets fan. I do hate the Yankees though. I really hate the Yankees.
Let me know when there's another contest.
