Thank You. I just don't understand why you would close ANY. Just delete the piece that you feel is objectionable and leave the thread alone. I strongly feel that deleting posts would erode the group's trust in me. Although not pretty, its better to lock a bad thread effectively forcing it to move off the page of current topics instead of remaining in the current rotation. Extremely offensive posts, usage of foul language, etc. are generally removed. Sometimes, if a discussion is marginal, we might lock it before it heads off in an expected direction. There are many reasons why a topic could be locked... all of those reasons are based on our experience as forum moderators. (Myself and the other moderators) ... we typically know if a thread will be headed somewhere we don't want it to go. --csb __________ SnowJournal.com

Know what really bugs me about this thread? Everyone here has a common intrest - SKIING. And the moderator of his own forum puts up a post saying hey calm it down a bit and be respectful to everyone else. How hard is that to ask, just be nice. We learned it since we were little kids. And all people can do is complain about how he locked your topic. First off he hardly ever locks any threads, and still even if he did, it means that you were probably out of line and you should be more cordial in the future. HONESTLY, all you have to do is be respectful and I'm sure he will have no complaints. In the future, just think before you type and be respectful.
