.......In addition, people like ski-it and joshua segal have already skied every area in New England and New York so it's hard for them to add new ones.......
While I appreciate the accolades from Trackbiker, I just want to set the record straight. I have only paid & skied all the public open areas in New England, that's Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. To ski all the areas in New York would be impressive, but my personal total there is 1.
Ski_it, your track record is VERY impressive. You get hash marks on this board!
There are some impressive tallies in this thread, but most make sense in a geographic way. I just took a closer look at 210's list and what is amazing about it is how far and wide he/she ranged. Austria, Switz, France, including areas that are not co-located in those countries. CO, UT, CA. Not too mention Loon and the inimitable Yawgoo Valley. Were the Euro ski areas done in one massive trip? What about out West? Lot of airfares in play? How'd you pull this off?
Hunter 2 Days
West Mountain 1 Day
Willard Mountain 6 Nights
Jiminy Peak 3 Days
Bousquet 1 Day
Okemo 1 Day
Gunstock 2 Days
Sunday River 3 Days
A poor season due to the late start, early ending and marginal days that I could not justify the expense for. I usually hit over 40 times out. Even my Ski Racer Son only got on skis 54 times. A normal season has him on snow closer to around 85 times.
