Snowgr, I like your guess. Looks like that photo is taken just below treeline somewhere, which really narrows down the choices if the location is New England. My 2010 photo at the top of the Kennebago Quad (formerly the Eclair T-bar) doesn't show this structure, but it looks brand new. Ski patrol bldg maybe? Or is intending on using it for other purposes-- deer stand, nocturnal rendezvous' insider trading, etc, etc.

What a building looks like when the public sees it or goes in and asks fo help makes a big impression. This would make a great impression!
