Snowgr, I like your guess. Looks like that photo is taken just below treeline somewhere, which really narrows down the choices if the location is New England.

My 2010 photo at the top of the Kennebago Quad (formerly the Eclair T-bar) doesn't show this structure, but it looks brand new. Ski patrol bldg maybe?

Geezum crow-- if THAT's a ski patrol hut, then that area loves it's patrol! Or is intending on using it for other purposes-- deer stand, nocturnal rendezvous' insider trading, etc, etc.

My impression is that there is a good patrol/management relationship. I also would not be surprised if most of the work was done by patrol members.

A lot of areas (not mine, thankfully) treat it's patrol as a burden and not an asset. What a building looks like when the public sees it or goes in and asks fo help makes a big impression.

This would make a great impression!

That is a nice shack. Ours isn't quite as nice as Saddlebacks, but better than many:

That is quite the hut...It would be expand it and use it for guests as well...The views are very impressive up there...
