There was a very interesting article in today's Boston Globe about how the U.S. is giving out green cards for foreigners who invest a minimum of $500,000 in a business in the U.S. that will result in new jobs. What I did not realize before reading the article is that the article focuses on Jay Peak:

I have to say, I am extremely impressed by Jay Peak's owners and/or management for coming up with this idea. It's extremely innovative, and even if one has the idea, being able to execute it is no small achievement.

I'm all for it. They're creating jobs here instead of in their home countries and have made a commitment to the US - let 'em in.
