It is 7:30 pm on the east coast. My daughter, in New Hampshire, just called to say that they are "INSANE!"

Hope y'all aren't too late, or too far south to miss them!

Aw gee MissDaEast, you pushed me off the front page.

The first law of observing an astronomical event is the proportional law of diminished returns. It goes something like this.
The more an event is a once in a lifetime event, or hyped in the media to no end, and the more you want to observe the event the more likely it will be cloudy, only be visible on the other side of the earth, your equipment will malfunction, it will be your wedding day or it will occur right after you pass away. Or all of the above.

It's clouded out here.
