I'm chicken. I freely admit it. I didn't ski Mittersill because it was closed. No doubt with good reason. As the suggestion of a couple SJer's I wanted to test the idea of skiing Mittersill by checking Middle Hardscrabble first - but that was closed too. So I tried Short Circuit which had plenty of man-made snow at first but when the trail changed to Lower Hardscrabble the cover became alarmingly thin. (Query: Why doesn't Lower Hardscrabble come directly after Middle Hardscrabble?) It didn't seem that anything without snow making was open - like Vista Way - one of my favorite spots for natural snow was closed. Anyway - ixnay on the Ittersillmay.
Almost everything else was uniform corduroy. The exception being the far left and right of Zoomer and The only icy spots were on the very imaginitively named Middle Cannon By-Pass. Snow making, btw, continues on Paulie's Ext, Avalanche and Gary's.

If anyone knows where to find 190 cm "straight" ski please let the people at Adaptive Sports know. Find then at http://adaptivesportspartners.org/
More photos to follow - I just haven't uploaded then yet.
