What are some of the greatest improvements in the snowmaking field we have seen in the last two decades? And what mountain(s) have become the leader in snow quality because of their snowmaking technology?

Mountain ops at Camelback are raving about the new low energy guns installed over the summer. Apparently saves the mountain a ton of money. I haven't been able to determine any difference in the snow either.
