Post Star article on Ski Park

This seems highly unlikely - I'd say the chance of building a Hickory or a West Mountain in Bolton, NY is next to zero.

I'm thinking no. Maybe if he had the money, but what investor would build a ski area to begin with, considering just how amazingly profitable small mountains tend to be...

And of course, why on earth the investor would choose to finance a guy with no concrete plans, and land he can't pay for.

On the same note, he appears to not know much about skiing, the "grass skiing" has never worked.

Not a chance...was it on this board we had a discussion about his previous trip to the planning board? I'm all for promoting responsible development in the ADKs, but this scheme is not going to cut it. it would be nice if her threw his financial weight behind Hickory, maybe help buy snowmaking infrastructure? Getting permission to cut new trails, build roads, add facilities is pretty much the domain of the state-run areas ...

He has no financial wieght to throw behind anything - he's basically bankrupt but mamnaged to get a piece of small business funding from the money the sale of The Sagamore generated for Bolton Landing
