Yeah long gone some stimulus money could a helped this place alot. A natural location too with ten colleges within thirty miles and a substancial population base. A non profit should take it over...well I guess they are but the boys and girls club shold run a ski area it is a natural i think other than the insurance costs.

From what I understand (though don't have first-hand knowledge so could be wrong) they actually divided up the land and sold it bits-and-pieces. Meaning, if anyone ever wanted to try to re-open it, they'd actually have to negotiate with a bunch of different land-owners to buy all the property. And since all the equipment (and I mean all of it - lifts, lights, lodge, etc.) are completely gone... you'd have to start from zero.
So... no, I think it's very very unlikely it'll ever re-open. Which is too bad - it had a great location for a ski area. Incomprehensible why it would have closed in the first place.
No, the quarry near the top has the upper sections. The bottom is part of Mt Tom Park. Split and gone forever. You can still do some hiking around the base and the old Mountain Amusement Park. I wish I got to hike that area before the last fire at the park. You would of been able to see a closed ski area and a closed amusement park. At least of some sort, anyway. You can still ride some of Mt Toms waterslides at Bousquet.
