Posted: Jan 28, 2009 - 6:39 PM GMT Very good conditions both days. A little loose powder over a packed powder base on all the trails I skied. On Jan.23, the crowd built up surprisingly fast for a Friday. The upper parking lot - Lot 1 - was full and shuttle buses were running from the lot on Mountain Road by about 11 a.m. Very light crowd on Monday, Jan. 26. Temp was +2 at the base and -3 at the summit to start the day. But there was little wind and the sun was bright. It wasn't uncomfortable at all, IMO, and it warmed up rather quickly. Unfortunately, because of other commitments, I had to leave a little after noon on both days. |
