I skied Sunapee for the first time this season yesterday (Sat 1/25). This years big improvement is bag management in the base lodge. They've got more cubicles and a dedicated room for free storage downstairs plus lots of signs that pretty much require that you make use of them. This resulted in actually having room to put my legs under a table while I ate lunch. What a treat, thank you Sunapee.
Apparently the same does not apply on weekends. I skied Sunapee yesterday, 1-27, bags still on the floor, not enough room to put your bag up from off the floor. Too many chairs to even try to boot up with all the crap in the area. The floor is alway a mess and wet. Not a favorite here.

DON'T LET FEAR AND COMMON SENSE STAND IN YOUR WAY
Yep, I really hate the bags on the floor under the tables. And it seems many folks think it means it's their table to use for the day. While having lunch or coffe we've actually folks come and ask us to move because "it's there table." And then point to the bags underneath. We just kind of shrug and say it's our table till we're done. I realize if you have kids you're likely going to need to have some stuff with you. I also realize that it seems to be part of the culture of family skiing. And finalize, I realize that some places don't have sufficient places to put bags that aren't on the floors under the tables. But it's really annoying and rude. Of course, I find folks who stop in the middle of doorways to talk on cell phones rude too, so maybe it's just a generational thing.

Were you in the Spruce Lodge? I was in the Sunapee Lodge. I can see the Spruce Lodge being a problem because I don't think that building has any spare room for bag storage.
