I had the wrong date (14th) on the last thread. This is for Friday the 13th at Jiminy. We'll meet up at the fireplace in front of the new lodge at 930am. I'll have my red/white/blue k2's and patriots hat.
I actually considered going to Jiminy on Saturday, not Friday, so I contacted Jiminy to get some info:
The following is from: Susan Cooper, Ticket & Retail Manager
1. Tickets on Saturday (and I presume Sunday) will be $30.
2. If you have a season pass from another area, bring your pass to guest services in the Welcome Center and you can fill one out a form for a FREE ticket. (Initially she told me that the form was on the web, but when I pointed out that it no longer was, this was what she told me to do to get the free ticket.)
When I mapquested Jiminy, it was further than I was willling to drive, but hopefully this posting will be helpful to those of you who live further west that I do.
It was really good actually. Didn't see any NELSAPPERS there though. Greg from Alpinezone might have been there, saw an Alpinezone car. Was that you Greg?
Anyways, snow was terrific! Conditions are great, firm groomed snow, even some packed powder at the top. Was very windy though yesterday. Got in 28 runs for 30,800' vertical. I'm tired today!
Everybody should get out and enjoy these great conditions. No bare spots either.
Yeah, Jeremy....It's amazing the amount of snow that place has. I just got back from taking my daughter. Snow cover was tremendous for mid april in the berkshires. Snow up top stayed pretty nice....some good mashed potato at the bottom. I heard rumors of staying open monday if this snow for them tomorrow....and I suppose next weekend if weather is favorable.
It was Gregg from AZ. I read his Trip report over there last night.

Yup, got your note. Sorry I missed you Jeremy. I didn't get started until almost 2 pm. Took a few runs with fellow AlpineZoner, Grassi21. Skied to last chair and got in 12 runs. I stuck mostly to the bumps on Foxes. By the time I left, one line started to get skied in nicely. I hit Whitetail, Jericho and Turkey once each. The mountain has a lot of snow still and they may reopen this week again!
