Kent School had a tiny area served by a rope tow. It was first cleared sometime in the 50's, abandoned, then re-cleared by the newly re-formed ski team in 1967. I was part of that group that cleared and grubbed out the saplings on the two trails. We used it for practices when there was natural snow, which wasn't all that often. The area wasn't operated for too many years, since mohawk was not far away, had reliable cover (usually ice) and they offered a cheap student season pass for us.
Colgate had a ski area, but I think it is closed (I'm sure someone on this board can confirm), and hasn't there been numerous threads re: St. Lawrence at one time having one.
I know NY isn't New England, but to us that live outside New England we really don't care. Plus, I think the reason for this thread is more on the lines of schools with ski areas not New England.

Since I started this thread, I can say unequivocally, this thread is about New England. However, if you want to summarize NY separately on this thread, I won't consider that to be a hijacking of this thread.

Cardigan School had a hill with a T-bar on it. It was operating when I was at Kimball Union in the late 70's. The hill at Franklin Pierce College(soon to be University) was operating when I was there but is now closed. We fondly referred to it as the Pimple.
