Being the heart of ski season and not having much time read the daily news rag, I almost missed this one. Thanks to a friend who knew of my interest in lost ski areas and saved me a copy!
It's a huge front page article from the local paper last Sunday detailing the plight of Connecticut's lost ski areas with tons on NELSAP plugs and even a section about our leader, Jeremy Davis. I was even credited for two photos used in the article. Enjoy.......

Interesting that Mr. Birkitt, 1st selectman of Morris, says he would consider opening a new slope if there was enough interest (last paragraph). I wonder why he doesn't think liability would be a problem. My town lost several million dollars to a guy who crashed on a sledding hill.
