Yes Betsy,not only should we thank the snowmakers,patrolers,and lift attendants,we take for granted on arriving at the mountain a nice corduroy surface on those groomers.Little do we know the work that went into"getting the course in shape"overnight.
Seeing a large fleet of "bullies mowing the fairways" sitting in the lounge for an apre beer always made me think,"that's what I want to do someday when I grow up"!I'll never forget the steepest groomed run at Jackson Hole I ever skied,they groom it once a year on St. Patty's Day,would have loved to see that driver winch his way up that dog!Not to leave on a negative/scary thought but does anyone know if one of these Bombardier's ever "rolled"?
