Despite the *ahem* apparent lack of copious amounts of snow so far, the wife and I are considering planning a visit, along with our 3 young children, to New England to have a quick winter vacantion and maybe do some skiing.

We would be coming up from Florida (Orlando area).
We are originally from New England (CT).
We are very familiar with the Okemo/Killington/Pico area.

We both also love NH (Lakes region).

I was hoping that some of you might have some good recommendations for a place to stay??

Here is what we are looking for:
3+ bedrooms
At least 2 full bathrooms
Decent amenities (TV / Fireplace / Etc.)
Located in either Vermont -or- New Hampshire
Somewhat near a ski area (the closer the better!)
Not super expensive

We are looking at a full week in early February.
(Most likely the 3rd through the 10th)

So far we have considered locations near Attitash, Bretton Woods, Gunstock, Pico, and Okemo.

We've been in contact with some people in both VT and NH and so far we are finding that either the property isn't available for the dates we have in mind or the price is out of reason considering what the property offers.

Anyone have some good referrals?
We ae open to working with a Real Estate agent as long as that doesn't double the price (seems like all of the RE rental listings are significantly higher than private listings).

Thanks in advance!!

My daughter did a lot of legwork on 2-bedroom condos for 3 or 5 day stays later this winter. We couldn't find any major area in VT, NH or ME that was within 20% of comparable facilities quoted to us for a stay at Killington.

Surprised the heck out of me.

My neighbor and best friend rents out a place at Mount Snow (his ski tracks can also be seen on the cover of the NELSAP calander). Prices probably aren't too bad but I think he'd only be able to go through the 9th. Nice place, here's a link for ya...

You might want to consider something further north though. Snow might be better. You can get to Mount Snow, Stratton, Magic, Bromley, and Berkshire East pretty easily from his place.

I've sent you a pm with an email address for a condo that might be available in NH.

You can try this 2 bedroom condo that's one mile from Loon Mountain in NH. It's pretty big and reasonably priced.
