Beartooth Basin. Open for two or three weeks this year before they were melted out.

Nailed it. I knew it wouldn’t take long, but good job.
Opened May 28th. DUE TO THE HEAT WAVE JUNE 15, 2021 WILL BE OUR LAST DAY OF OPERATIONS.

BE ADVISED OUR SKI AREA IS FOR INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED RIDERS ONLY! NOVICE RIDERS WILL FIND THE STEEP TERRAIN AND PLATTER LIFTS TO BE DIFFICULT AND INTIMIDATING.

I think it was the shortest season ever.

I thought it was Beartooth but thought no way they had that little snow at June 30. I guess I was wrong

How far into the summer do they typically make it?

It's pretty awful what's going on out in the west right now. I really need to go to Glacier National Park before they need to find a new name. It's just ashame. 124º in British Columbia. WTF?

I think 1st week of July. Their calendar shows 6/27 as the last event.

I’ve been to 2 ranches and if you don’t have irrigation/water you are already in trouble. Hay yields are way down. Most of the river and lakes look like it the end of July not June

Mt Washington in a few spots and the inexperienced drivers… and me gazing out over the Gulf. But it is short.
Pikes peak was scary as a kid, but I’m sure it has been upgraded. Isola Deux Mille is one of the gnarliest I’ve driven along with the regular roads south of there.
Here it is 80 mph on most interstates, 70 on 2 lane highways & 50 on gravel roads. But they didn’t seem to have the potholes and crappy roads we have. Because it stays cold and less traffic?

I’m sure glad I did Montana, Glacier, Canadian Rockies, Alaska when I did AND 4 corners during the height of the “storm”

Skied there three summers ago...It was fun! It is a bit like a small Tuckerman's, with poma lifts; very steep at the top, more moderate at the bottom. Their season is squeezed between road opening and melt-out. We were blocked for about 2 hours at the Montana Wyoming border due to new snowfall on day one, and the road never opened on day 2 because there was even more fresh snow on the solstice.
